First off – a heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who have reached out, expressed keen interest, supported us and entrusted us with your child’s Mandarin learning. Since we launched Fun Taiwan Camp two years ago, we have received overwhelming encouragement from overseas parents. Our teachers and staff can feel your passion and enthusiasm for your children’s Mandarin education. Your feedback has been instrumental in shaping and improving our program. Many parents have reached out as early as last September, asking about our summer 2024 dates. We are thrilled to embark on another exciting journey in 2024 but apologizes for not being able to share more details and open registration earlier. We are a small team who just wrapped the winter program; however summer 2024 planning is in the works. As we are finalizing details, based on the feedback and teachers’ recommendations, we want to share some new updates and additions to our program with you for Summer 2024.
We have made some changes to the age group and the language requirement for Fun Taiwan Camp this year. We have decided to focus on children aged 7 to 12 years old, after careful discussion and consideration. This will help us design more suitable and effective Mandarin learning activities for this age group. It will also ensure that the children can interact more independently and socially with the local children.
Moreover, we are also asking that Fun Taiwan Campers have beginner Mandarin speaking skills. This will improve the learning experience for everyone and foster better connections with the local Taiwanese children. As part of the registration process, we will ask parents to send us a 1-minute self-introduction video of the camper speaking Mandarin. This will also help us match the campers with similar Mandarin levels.
Our camp dates are final, while camp themes details and the tentative schedule are still being finalized. This is what we are working on currently.

Registration will be open after Chinese New Year mid-February 2024.

Parents want to find new and creative ways to help their children learn Mandarin. We heard your loud and clear. This is why we are thrilled to announce a new partnership this year with an educational organization that we admire and respect – Love Nature Camp. This is a team of teachers in Taiwan who are passionate about exploring nature and teaching children about its wonders. This summer, we are proud to present a brand-new camp called – Fun Taiwan Nature Camp! This two-week Mandarin camp will combine language lessons with outdoor adventures in Taiwan.
In the morning session of Fun Taiwan Nature Camp, the campers will have structured Mandarin lessons. In the afternoon session, they will have different activities depending on the week. In the first week, they will visit a local farm in New Taipei City and learn about bugs and insects. In the second week, they will go to another camp site and learn outdoor survival skills. This will be open to children with all levels of Mandarin.
Session 1: 6/17/2024-6/21/2024 Session 2: 6/24/2024-6/28/2024
We plan to finalize details and open for registration in March.
Yes this is also in the works. We have an ambitious plan to launch a 3-week Mandarin learning sessions for tweens and teens between the age of 14-18. Following our format, there will be Mandarin lessons in the morning. In the afternoon, we have found a fantastic non-profit organization/startup as our partner. The campers will spend the afternoon learning about the issues at stake, and spend time doing volunteer work that helps the local communities! The planning for this is a lot more complicated and takes more coordination and planning than anticipated. If all goes well, we’re looking to finalize detail and open for registration in March.
Again – from all of us at Fun Taiwan Camp, thank you for entrusting us with your child’s language education and adventure. As you can see, we have got our plates full this summer. We appreciate your patience as we continue to finetune and tweak program to make sure that our campers find Mandarin learning, exciting, fun, and very much relevant as them grow and thrive into young adulthood!
